On My Own Center- This math center is designed for independent 'On My Own' practice to develop the concept of place value or base ten math enters / math stations. There are 9 different math centers / math stations for base 10 place value included in this pack. Center 1: Treasure Chest: Look at the number on the treasure chest. Find the golden coins to match. Center 2: What's the Number. Look at the value of the 10s and 1s to work out the number. Find the matching card. Center 3: Popping Numbers:Match the popcorn box and the popcorn pieces together. Center 4: Monster Spin: Spin a 100, a 10 and a 1. Write the number you have spun on the recording sheet. Center 5: Cat Scratch: Count the base 10 to work out the number. Record them on the sheet. These back to school math centers are perfect for your firsties or high kinder kiddos. There are 9 'Back to School' themed math centers included in this resource. The following concepts are covered: Lunch Order: Work out the number pattern and fill in the missing number. Double Trouble: Spin a number word on the apple, double it and cover it on the sheet. Fill the Bus: Roll 2 dice, add them together, fill the 10 frame until all 5 ten frames are full. The first person to fill all 5 ten frames is the winner. Pack Up! Turn all back pack cards upside down, choose 4, put them in order from biggest to smallest or smallest to biggest and record it on the sheet. Pencil Sharp: Complete the addition sentence and record the answer. Sticky Numbers: Sort the numbers into odd and even. Clipboard Clip: Count by tens and ones to work out the number displayed, clip the correct number. Pencils and Erasers: Match the subtraction sentence on the eraser to the answer on the pencil. Collect it: spin the bus spinner, rotate around the board collecting counters or beads. The player with the most at the finish is the winner.
